There are 16 companions for the player to discover roaming around the lands of Perisno. Each companion has a unique set of skills, and can be customized to the player's liking. It is even rumored that one of them wields a legendary weapon...

Grouping
For companions to like being in your party they must be happy (keep their morale high). If a companion is with someone they dislike then you must have someone they like in your party. For example; Marcus dislikes Uldin and Tylen. To have Uldin or Tylen and keep Marcus from eventually leaving your party due to the dislike, you must also have the person Marcus likes: Shi Jin.
Below are two example lists of compatible groups; they work together to keep all companions' morale high.

Sending a companion as an Emissary will make him (or her) leave your party for 21 days, granting you 3 points of Right to Rule when they return. You may then send another companion as an emissary after 1.5 - 2 days have passed. Every companion has one other companion tolerated within the party, but not tolerated as emissary (see list above). When an emissary is sent, if the companion who dislikes their assignment as emissary is in the party, they will complain. That complaint counts the same as a straight Dislike for another party member and can make the unhappy companion leave the party. Also, after a companion complains about an Emissary, when told that you plan to become king, will only respond "Yeah, I heard about that", and will refuse to be sent as an emissary themselves, thus effectively losing the Right to Rule from them.
Since 7.2 the "Disable Companion Complain" option in the camp menu has been fixed and now blocks both normal and Emissary complaints.
